Why Work Better.

What began as a simple question about human potential at work evolved into a movement. Here, we invite you to explore our origin through short stories, archival event reports, and curated snapshots from Work Better Day.

Exploring What it Means to Work Better.

What started as an intrapreneurial experiment grew into a high-impact, experience-driven event series with talks, panels, and workshops on everything from generational decision-making to unconscious bias and navigating organizational change. From 2017 to 2019, Work Better Day brought together bold thinkers, curious minds, and forward-looking leaders to explore a simple but powerful question: What does it really mean to work better?

This series sparked the same ethos behind today’s Work Better Consulting, and its legacy continues in every conversation we help lead.

Today, we translate deep insights into strategic systemic change. By moving beyond surface-level fixes, we help organizations improve performance by designing workplaces grounded in the belief that the 90,000 hours people spend at work should be better.

Work Better Day: A Timeline

In the beginning...

IMG_4901.jpg

Work Better Day launched in 2017 in Washington, D.C. as a curated experiment within OPX Global to investigate the human experience within corporate structures. The events were meant to bring together leaders and visionaries to foster dialogue about human potential, systemic friction, and what it would look like to work better.  What started as a simple question quickly ignited a passionate community of thinkers and leaders.

Exploration

We uncovered the crisis of disengagement, where only 13% of American employees enjoyed their work, despite spending nearly 2,500 hours a year doing it. We started the conversation.

2018

Evolution

We explored the deeper cultural and structural elements around generational decision-making. We explored how individuals and teams can make clearer, smarter decisions amidst complexity, bias, and constant change.

We dove into the rules of communication and explored all the ways we connect  across generations, platforms, and perspectives, shaping every part of the work experience, from collaboration, to trust,

to retention.
